 What is the cost for an online course?

PM4DEV offers two different modes of online courses. Instructor-lead courses range from $150 to $200 per course. Self-guided course are $200 to $250 per course. How long does it take to complete an online course?

Our Instructor-lead online courses come in two types. Core courses last 3 weeks; elective courses last two weeks. This includes the time to read the attachments, take the tests, and complete the course exercises. For self-guided courses, students have access to the course site for three months. During this time they can take the course, review all lessons, and submit the final essay.

Can you send a printed version of my Certificate of Completion?

Yes. All students who complete all course requirements will receive a printed and signed Certificate of Completion. Certificates are shipped via airmail through the U.S. Postal Office. Shipping to international addresses takes about 15 days.

Where can I purchase your books?

You can purchase our book directly from our website or from our online publisher (www.lulu.com). We use PayPal which requires a credit card. If you do not have a credit card, please contact us and we will send you alternative options to send your payment.

What is asynchronous learning?

Asynchronous learning is a student-centered teaching method that uses online learning resources to facilitate information among a network of people outside the constraints of time and place. The online learning resources used to support asynchronous learning includes email and online discussion boards. Course management systems such as Moodle have been developed to support online interaction, allowing users to organize discussions, post and reply to messages, and upload and access multimedia.

I don't have a credit card, how can I pay for the course?

Do I need to be online at all time to take this course?

No. None of our online courses require students and instructors to be online at the same time. None of our lectures, discussions, or presentations are presented at a specific hour. Students do not need to be online at the same time in order to participate.

What are the features of the online course?

In the online courses, the instructor provides materials, lectures, tests, and assignments that can be accessed at any time. Students are given a timeframe – usually a one-week window – during which they need to connect at least once or twice. But overall, students are free to contribute whenever they choose during the timeframe or duration of the course.

Is my personal information secure?

Yes, all students receive a username and a password to access the course. The information is not available to anyone outside the online course. All records and personal information are kept confidential and not shared with anyone outside PM4DEV. All course forums and online discussions are private and secure.

Can I access the course information after the course ends?

Yes, all students have an additional 30 days to access the course material. Additionally, you can download all the presentations, documents, and examples provided by the instructor.

What are the discusion forums featured in the online courses?

The discussion forum is a foundational item in the online learning structure. Students participate in discussions facilitated by the instructor. A series of questions are posted in the forums. All students must respond and comment. It's a great way to answer questions and share documents and links. It's also a good place to ask questions and to clear up ambiguities.

What type of support is offered after the course ends?

Students receive 30 days of free online coaching support from the instructor. This extra benefit gives students an opportunity to ask questions or get help when they are applying what they learned in the course to improve their projects.
